Frank is a Managing Partner of GroveStreet and a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. He is responsible for a number of our client relationships and leads fund and direct investments across all segments of private equity and venture capital in the US and Europe including healthcare venture capital. Frank is also a guest lecturer in the Harvard MBA class Venture Capital and Private Equity.
Prior to GroveStreet, Frank was a co-founder of Biocode Inc., a venture-backed biotech start-up where he helped raise $15 million in venture capital over three rounds of financing. During his six-year tenure at Biocode, Frank played a number of executive roles, including 18 months as Managing Director, Asia, based in Singapore and was a co-inventor on two patents. Previously, Frank was an Associate at Innotage Management, an early stage venture investment group, and was an Analyst in the healthcare group of Advent Venture Partners in London.

Catherine co-founded GroveStreet, is a Managing Partner of the firm and a member of its Investment Committee. She is responsible for a number of our client relationships and leads fund and direct investments across all segments of buyouts and venture capital including proven as well as emerging teams in both the US and Europe. She has worked full cycle with both fund managers and clients to pro-actively manage the wind down of mature portfolios.
Prior to GroveStreet, Catherine built a successful 14-year career in the design and implementation of private equity investment programs where there was both a financial and business development objective. In total, she led the formation of private equity investment programs with nearly $400 million under management for major corporate and state pension fund investors.

Prior to GroveStreet, Chris was the CFO at Regiment Capital Advisors, where he was responsible for the firm’s financial affairs, fund accounting and tax functions. Previously, Chris spent 8 years at Bain Capital most recently as Director of Tax, where he oversaw tax related matters across the firm’s public and private market businesses. Chris was also a Tax Manager at Highfields Capital and a Senior Tax Consultant at Deloitte.

Prior to joining GroveStreet, John was the Co-Head of the Private Client Practice for the Americas at Cambridge Associates. Previously, he was a Managing Director at Makena Capital where he worked with clients building endowment-style portfolios, and before that he was a Managing Director and Investment Committee member at TIFF Investment Management, where he managed the firm’s Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) program. John started his investing career at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette in New York. Prior to business school, John was with PricewaterhouseCoopers in New York and completed a 2-year commitment with Teach For America in Los Angeles.

Prior to GroveStreet, Mario worked on Goldman Sachs’s Leveraged Finance team in New York where he focused on structuring and executing financings primarily for middle-market leveraged buyouts. Previously, he worked at Citigroup’s Financial Sponsors team where he advised private equity clients on identifying, structuring, and financing leveraged buyouts. Mario has also completed internships at UBS’s New York-based Latin America Team and at Rent The Runway, where he worked with the CFO on evaluating growth opportunities and operational improvements, and gained a first-hand understanding of what it takes to scale a VC-backed company in a rapidly evolving space.

Alan Feld is the Founder and Managing Partner of Vintage Investment Partners, a manager of secondary funds and fund-of-funds focused on the Israeli market. Prior to founding Vintage in 2002, Alan was a Managing Partner at Israel Seed Partners and at Vertex Ventures. Prior to Vertex, Alan was the Managing Director of Evergreen Capital Markets/Robertson Stephens Israel. Before moving to Israel in 1994, Alan worked at Goodman’s (Toronto), one of Canada’s leading corporate law firms. Josh is the Jacob H. Schiff Professor of Investment Banking at Harvard Business School, with a joint appointment in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management. He is an Advisor to GroveStreet with an emphasis on helping the firm and its clients identify, analyze and respond to key trends in the private equity industry. At Harvard, Dr. Lerner’s research focuses on the structure and the role of private equity organizations. He introduced an elective MBA course on private equity and venture capital that has consistently been one of the largest elective courses at HBS. He founded, raised funding for and organizes two groups at the National Bureau of Economic Research: Entrepreneurship and Innovation Policy and the Economy. Josh recently led an international team of scholars in a study of the economic impact of private equity for the World Economic Forum. Prior to joining the faculty at HBS, he worked for several years on issues concerning technological innovation and public policy, first at the Brookings Institution, then at a public-private task force in Chicago and finally on Capitol Hill.
